LCVS – Development and Grant Officer

Salary: £20,000 – £25,000.
Start date: ASAP.

LCVS has an exciting opportunity for you to join Liverpool Charity and Voluntary Services (LCVS) in a capacity that will allow you to impact the voluntary sector across this wonderful city! Charity Horizons are delighted to be supporting our organisation in our search for a Development and Grant Officer to support with the provision of LCVS grant making, monitoring and evaluation processes.

As Development and Grants Officer you will assist the Policy, Partnership and Programme Lead in their support and advocacy of the VCFS sector in Liverpool both through administrative duties and by liaising directly with voluntary and community groups, associated networks and funding boards/panels.

Duties will include:

  • Networking with the VCF and public sector and supporting local VCF groups in identifying and developing partnership working
  • Providing strategic support for local programmes to strengthen health outcomes across the city
  • Acing as a key point of contact for grants queries, reviewing applications and assessing grant applications
  • Preparing papers for grant reviews by the Funding Award Panels
  • Providing administrative support to specific charities and associations
  • Undertaking specific research and development projects as required.

The Person

To be considered for this role you should come to us with excellent administrative skills, exceptional attention to detail and an ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately. You should possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be able to build relationships with ease and articulate yourself confidently to a range of individuals, organisation and partners. A knowledge of the voluntary sector landscape and of the grant making process would certainly be advantageous but a willingness to learn and absorb the health and social care sector is a must! We are looking for a compassionate person who is passionate about the work of this organisation and someone who wants to launch themselves into a role where they will learn and up-skill themselves while supporting the voluntary sector across Liverpool!
