LCVS – Director of Finance and Corporate Resources

£50,000 – £60,000
Full-time / Permanent
Liverpool (office and home working)

Are you a finance expert with a passion for social welfare? Do you want to be part of an organisation that is passionate about strengthening communities, and about improving wellbeing? Do you want to apply your expertise to a movement that brings people, organisations and resources together? If so, we would love to hear from you!

We have an exciting opportunity for a Director of Finance & Corporate Resources to join Liverpool Charity and Voluntary Services (LCVS), the organisation that positively impacts the voluntary sector across the city of Liverpool!

The Role

The main purpose of this role is to manage, direct and oversee the financial resources of LCVS, including Trust accounts, Charity Services, Community Accountancy and IT Services and the organisation’s building. The role will also hold leadership and management responsibilities and require you to play an integral role in the governance of the organisation. Duties will span across accounting policies, the filing of company accounts, the maintaining of records of building tenancies, the provision of technical support and advice to the community accountancy team and effective liaison with external auditors. This is a hugely exciting time to be joining the executive team and in this role you will have real scope to shape and influence the department moving forwards.

The Person

To be considered for this role, you must hold a recognised professional qualification (CCAB) or equivalent and have maintained CPD requirements for qualification. You should have a proven record of production of budgets, management accounts and Annual Reports and ideally have an understanding and practical experience of the current requirements of charity accounting and law (although this is not a necessity). We need someone who is committed to the values and work of voluntary and community organisations and someone who will lead and govern their team with integrity, tact, creativity and confidence.

This is a truly unique and exciting opportunity to join a flexible organisation who puts the wellbeing of its staff at the core. The role will be a blend of homeworking, office-working and travel across the region. By joining LCVS as Director of Finance & Corporate Resources you will form part of a small but ambitious team and play a role achieving long-term systemic improvements for the charity.
