LCVS Statement Regarding Black Lives Matter

The following statement was released by LCVS on 7 July 2020. It reflects the organisation’s current position in relation to Black Lives Matter:

Collectively, as the board and staff at LCVS, we wish to express our solidarity and support for the Black Lives Matter campaign.

Going forward, we will strive to do much more than simply state our support; we will review what we do and the ways that we do it. This will include a review of the heritage funds that we hold and administer to support the VCF sector.

We will commit to looking into our own governance and leadership, and to doing better.

We will work with our colleagues in the VCF sector across the city region and with our colleagues in the public and private sectors to challenge the status quo and ensure that we are leading by example.
