LCVS VCFSE Stakeholder Consultation | LCVS’ place in working to eradicate poverty in Liverpool

Calling all Liverpool-based VCFSE organisations, LCVS needs your input to inform the future work of our organisation.

Since 1909, LCVS has been working with Liverpool’s voluntary, community, faith, and social enterprise (VCFSE) sector to help it to grow and thrive. In that time, Liverpool has undergone extensive changes.

However, a challenge that still persists today is poverty (in all its forms).

This is evident as Liverpool is the third most deprived area in England in terms of health and disability, the fourth most deprived in terms of income, and the fifth most deprived in terms of living environment.

At LCVS, we are examining our role in the challenge to eradicate poverty in Liverpool, and we would like the local organisations that we work with to share their views.

We have a clear purpose, but now it requires nuance, guiding principles, and clearly delineated areas for practice.

We have commissioned Dr. Matthew Barber-Rowell (Founder of Spaces of Hope, a Postdoctoral Fellow at Liverpool Hope University, and a resident of Liverpool) to take us through the process of engagement with our stakeholders so that the resulting movement for change is rooted in views and experiences from across LCVS and its partners.

So, what are we asking of you? We want your time and perspective. If you would like to come along with us on this journey, please join us in one of the events below:

We look forward to working with you to develop our future strategy on these key issues.

Sonia Bassey MBE, Chair         Clare White, CEO
