Life Story Network Vacancies

Created by carers for carers, TIDE – Together in Dementia Every Day – is a national involvement network for carers and former carers of people with dementia, hosted by Life Story Network CIC. A core principle of TIDE is how we value, respect and support carers and former carers of people living with dementia.  Using lived experience, TIDE enables a diverse range of carers to have a powerful collective voice, which raises awareness of their unique needs and rights, ensuring that these influence practice, policy and research at all levels

The initial phased roll out of TIDE will cover the Liverpool City and Manchester City Regions and has been funded by the Big Lottery – Accelerating Ideas Programme.

There are now two vacancies.

Business Development Manager

Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 per annum, dependent on experience

Hours: 35 hours per week

A member of the Executive Management Team, you will work closely with the Chief Executive, Chair and Board Members to provide strategic leadership for the development of the LSN and for TIDE. You will take the lead role in securing commissions for the business, using learning from successful projects to follow up appropriate leads. You will have overall responsibility for programme monitoring and co-ordination and for data collection and analysis. You will balance the need to drive for new business with adherence to our values, ensuring that people who are vulnerable and their carers remain at the heart of what we do.

You will be educated to degree level or equivalent, with a background in Programme management, which will include writing bids and proposals, data collection and analysis as well as proactively developing and sustaining multi-agency partnerships. You must have experience or an understanding of dementia and the emotional and practical challenges that families experience.
