Lister Steps Vacancy: Community Engagement Manager

Salary: £24,057 p.a.
Hours: 35 hours per week – must be willing to work flexibly and evenings and weekends as required
Contract: Fixed-term contract for 4 years 9 months

Lister Steps is embarking on an exciting five-year project, made possible by National Lottery players and Heritage Lottery Fund. The Old Library in Green Lane, Old Swan will become a flagship centre of community involvement, education, support services, events and enterprise, following its full refurbishment. Lister Steps is recruiting a full time Community Engagement Manager to ensure that the project stays well connected and relevant to peoples needs.

The Community Engagement Manager will be key to Lister Steps maintaining excellent relationships with local community members and other public, charitable and private organisations operating in and around the City of Liverpool and outlying districts. The successful applicant will have excellent communication skills, have experience working with community groups and individuals in a voluntary sector environment and have a good understanding of the opportunities offered by community-based heritage projects.
