As part of Liverpool’s ambition to become the most active core city in the UK by 2021, Merseyside Sports Partnership is offering Liverpool employers a package of free support to help get your workforce more active.
Research shows that introducing physical activity initiatives within the workplace can reduce absenteeism by up to 20%, in addition to improving teamwork, communication, morale and supporting Corporate Social Responsibility.
Pledge your organisation’s support to the Liverpool Active Workplaces campaign and you’ll have access to:
- Workplace Toolkit, that will provide information, signposting to sources of support and practical ideas that can be implemented within your workplace
- Free staff training places on the Physical Activity Champion training course, which will help your employees to engage their colleagues in physical activity initiatives
- Small grants programme to apply for funding to pilot physical activity initiatives in your workplace
- Employee step challenge starting in January 2017, where employees can set their own step targets and count their steps towards their organisation’s total – who can be the most active workplace in Liverpool?
Sign up your organisation to join the programme by completing this online form.
Liverpool Active Workplaces is delivered by Merseyside Sports Partnership, commissioned by Liverpool City Council and NHS Liverpool CCG.
