Liverpool Biennial is currently recruiting for a Curator and Sponsorship and Events Officer.

Curator

Salary: £24,047 – 30,319 (depending on qualifications and experience)

Hours: Full-time

Contract: Permanent

Liverpool Biennial is looking to appoint a Curator to join the team. The Curator will work closely with the Director and Freelance Curator in the development and delivery of the Biennial exhibitions. They will also commission and curate works for a wide range of settings including the public realm.

The successful candidate will be a graduate, ideally with a Masters degree in visual arts, and will have 5 years’ experience with large-scale events or exhibitions, as well as experience of working in an international environment. They will also have editorial experience and experience of managing publications.

Sponsorship and Events Officer

Salary: £20,388 – 24,047 (dependent upon qualifications and experience)

Full-time

permanent contract (flexible working arrangements may be considered)

Liverpool Biennial is currently seeking a Sponsorship and Events Officer to join the team. Self-motivated and goal-oriented, you will identify, target and cultivate prospective revenue and funding streams to support the Biennial, maintaining and developing relationships with our existing supporters, as well as organising and facilitating promotional events.

This is an exciting chance to be part of a creative and dynamic organisation creating some of the most interesting projects in Britain, such as Sir Peter Blake’s dazzle commission for the Mersey Ferry in 2015, and the UK’s festival of newly commissioned contemporary art every two years. You should have a passion for the arts, and, whilst sector experience is not essential, you should have real enthusiasm and the ability to engage people in the Biennial’s work.
