On Monday 4 February Liverpool City Council (LCC) will launch a two year grant to voluntary and community organisations across Liverpool working with people seeking asylum, refugees, vulnerable migrants and / or established communities
The total funding available is £200,000 per year, for two years (i.e. £400,000 in total).
The funding available will support activities across a range of themes, including:
- Advice and advocacy
- Employability and welfare rights
- Language support
- Health and well-being
- Improving social connections
- Celebrating culture
Detailed guidance and application forms will be made available upon launch on Monday 4 February.
Meanwhile, LCVS is offering support for potential applicants to this grant programme.
This support includes:
1. Guidance briefing
LCVS is holding two guidance briefing sessions for groups potentially interested in applying to this fund. These sessions will provide details regarding the application process and offer guidance on how to complete an application.
The sessions are being held at LCVS, 151 Dale Street, Liverpool, L2 2AH on:
- Tuesday 5 February, 10am – 12pm
- Thursday 7 February, 5.30pm – 7.30pm

Your booking will be confirmed only once we have sent a confirmation notice.
2. Application review sessions
LCVS is also providing application review sessions for anyone who wants specific advice and support about their application.
Each session is composed of 1 hour advice surgeries.
These sessions will take place at LCVS, 151 Dale Street, Liverpool. L2 2AH:
- Friday 22 February, 10am – 4pm
- Monday 25 February, 1pm – 4pm
- Tuesday 26 February, 10 am – 1 pm
Appointments are available on the hour, e.g.: 10am – 11am; 11am – 12pm; 12pm – 1pm; 1pm – 2 pm; 2 pm – 3 pm; 3 pm – 4 pm.
These free 1 hour surgeries are a chance for you to have your application reviewed and to receive face-to-face feedback on your application.
You will need to send LCVS your application 3 working days before your appointment.
