Liverpool Lighthouse Vacancies

Liverpool Lighthouse is the UK’s first dedicated urban gospel music and arts centre, engaging, inspiring and up-skilling disaffected groups, and contributing to the regeneration of North Liverpool.

The organisation has a track record of successful provision for young people, skills training for adults, including unemployed people and non-English speakers, and of bringing older folk out of isolation, improving their quality of life. Liverpool Lighthouse is part of a ‘family’ of independent charities, which include Love & Joy Ministries, Bright Park and Harmonize Academy.

Community Fundraiser

Salary: £21,000-23,000 (pro rata)
Hours: 24 hours per week

The postholder will play a key role in developing a sustainable future for the Liverpool Lighthouse and its family of charities by mobilising service users, church congregation, the community and local companies to generate income to support the work.

Your duties will include leading on securing community and corporate support, working to income targets, and building strong relationships with individual and institutional supporters, community members, service users, congregation members and local companies. You will identify appropriate funding sources through networking and research, and initiate, develop and manage events, fundraising packs and other initiatives designed to mobilise the community to give to Liverpool Lighthouse.

Trust and Foundations Fundraising Officer

Salary: £20,000-23,000 (pro rata)
Hours: 24 hours a week

The new post of Trust and Foundations Fundraising Officer will play a key role in developing a sustainable future for Liverpool Lighthouse and Bright Park.

The Trusts and Foundations Officer will be responsible for planning and implementing fundraising initiatives for charitable trusts, foundations and statutory funders. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrable track record of success in fundraising from these income streams and have experience of working to targets. The post-holder will work to develop a trusts and foundation fundraising strategy to maximise income from these sources and achieve all fundraising goals.

Family Connect Coordinator

Salary: £23,000-25,000 p.a.
Hours: 40 hours/week worked flexibly

The postholder will manage the efficient running of the Family Connect Project, focusing on health, finances, family relationships and reducing isolation through improved inter-family relationships. You will co-ordinate programme activities, facilitators, partners and volunteers whilst ensuring targeted outcomes are delivered.

This job role will focus on the delivery of monitoring, evaluation and compliance and budget tracking, ensuring that all project monitoring, collection and analysis of relevant evidence is done to illustrate the effectiveness of the overall project to funders, partners, and the wider community, and that funder’s reports are written and submitted by deadlines.

Detached Youth Connect Development Worker

Hours of work: 12 hours per week (Tuesday – Thursday 3pm – 7pm)
Rate of Pay:     £10.00 per hour

Youth Connect is Liverpool Lighthouse’s flag-ship project, benefiting over 3,500 young people since 2009. Arts and education has the power to inspire, motivate and transform children and young people’s lives. Youth Connect uses vibrant and appealing activities as a means of attracting young people to join the programme, designed to build confidence and skills, open opportunities and challenge anti-social behaviours. Detached Outreach is a vital part of the programme to reach out to the young people with the most challenging needs.

The Detached Youth Connect Development Worker will reach out to young people aged 8-19 to promote their personal, educational and social development, and to engage them in a programme aimed to re-dress inequalities, improve their life chances, and empower them to take action on issues affecting their lives, including health, education, unemployment and the environment, by developing positive skills and attitudes.
