LiveWire Liverpool Health Trainer Service is looking for two individuals to support the delivery of the Health Trainer programme across the city. You will be joining a passionate and energetic team supporting the residents of Liverpool to make positive lifestyle changes.
Volunteer Coordinator
Salary: £18,196 – £20,645 pa
Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week
The role of Volunteer Coordinator is a new addition to the team structure and applicants will be expected to have experience of working within communities and of the management and coordination of a volunteer programme. The successful candidate will support and coordinate the recruitment, selection and day to day management of LiveWire Liverpool’s volunteers, and to play a key role in the growth of the volunteer programme.
Health Trainer
Salary: £18,196 – £20,645 pa
Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week
Health Trainers are based out in the community and within a number of GP settings. They support people in taking responsibility for improving their own health. This may include support on healthy eating, stopping or reducing smoking, increasing physical activity, sensible drinking and/or general wellbeing. Health Trainers signpost and refer people to appropriate services and support, linking in with a number of partners across the city.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and experience of working with local community groups and partners. In addition, they will be knowledgeable about health care services and how to support individuals to access them. They will play a key role in tackling heath inequalities within the city by supporting people to develop healthier lifestyles and behaviour.
