Living Well Sefton – Deputy Programme Manager

Reporting to: Programme Manager.
Location: Hybrid – Home/Waterloo.

Sefton Council for Voluntary Service (CVS) is an independent registered charity with a borough-wide brief to assist and support voluntary community and faith sector (VCF) activity across Sefton, Merseyside.

Job Description

To support the delivery of the Living Well Sefton programme, developing relationships with external partners. To coordinate and develop training for internal and external staff and support the Social Prescribing programme.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To support and deputise for the Programme Manager
  • To support the delivery of person-centred activity and solution-focused approaches and coordinate user engagement
  • Attend relevant strategic meetings and events, contributing to performance monitoring and reporting
  • Support all communications on behalf of the programme
  • To support the programme offer from all partners and enable connectivity to the wider community and voluntary sector
  • In conjunction with the Programme Manager, oversee the programme budgets and grants programme
  • To coordinate the Make Every Contact Count (MECC) training offer across Sefton with key partners and stakeholders
  • To coordinate a ‘train the trainer’ approach to support the training offer delivery and develop appropriate mechanisms to ensure the relevant support is offered and the training is of high quality
  • To identify, deliver and source relevant training for the Living Well Sefton Programme and key partners
  • Support the management of the Community Connector programme
  • Undertake additional duties as may be reasonably required, within the general terms of the job description.
