LJMU Funded Internship Programme 2021

Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU) invites organisations to host for a full time, remotely accessed internship this summer.

LJMU has a long history of supporting local small companies. The university has promoted graduate retention in the Liverpool City Region for over 20 years and knows that students and graduates are an important part of the labour market. Because the past year has been especially challenging, LJMU has decided to commit its entire 2021 funded Internship Programme to support local businesses.

Organisations are now invited to offer meaningful projects for students to undertake over the summer.

Internships are 140 hours in duration and are set to begin on one of two start dates – 17 May and 7 June 2021.

In return for hosting an intern, LJMU will cover the full cost of the wages of the student.

Could you offer the following within your organisation?

  • A supportive environment to learn about the workplace
  • An opportunity to get involved in, or lead, a short project with tangible results
  • A safe space to develop their confidence

If so, complete this Internship Host Expression of Interest Form, or email internships@ljmu.ac.uk to request a Word version of the same form.

The deadline for applications is Friday 2 April 2021 at 12 noon.

Restrictions

This scheme is not available if your organisation:

  • Has more than 250 employees
  • Has hosted an LJMU intern in the past 2 years
  • Is owned by LJMU staff
  • Is outside the Liverpool City Region

There are a limited number of interns available and projects will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.
