Location: Based at Mary Seacole House at 2 Princes Road Liverpool L8 1TH but will be working at various locations.

Mary Seacole House is a Mental Health Charity & Resource Service that provides mental health, well-being support and advocacy to meet the diverse cultural needs of the primarily Black, Asian, Minority Ethnic communities of Liverpool.
Job Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen at Mary Seacole House for a full time IMHA Advocate to join their advocacy team working in partnership with POhWER. The successful candidate will be delivering the Culturally Appropriate IMHA service within Secure Services across Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust. This role will also cover the advocacy services within two local prisons.
The successful candidate will be expected to have a good understanding and reach within Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic cultures and have a passion for supporting people with minority ethnic backgrounds to access care and treatment for mental health, particularly where there is unmet need.
You will need to be visible on-site at secure mental health hospitals and prisons. You will be supporting a wide range of vulnerable adults often with profound and multiple needs, so you will have experience of this type of work. You will also be delivering awareness raising/training sessions to patients & staff around culturally appropriate advocacy and working with EDI leads on-site.
