Merseyside Asbestos Victim Support Group is looking for a volunteer to fill the role of Book Keeper for one day per week. The role will involve recording and processing all income and expenditure; recording transactions in the cash book and on Quick Books. Previous experience within a book keeping or financial role is essential.
Lunch will be provided and reasonable travel expenses to and from the office will be reimbursed.
Based in Liverpool city centre, the group helps and assists people diagnosed, or suspected of suffering with, an Asbestos Related Disease (ARD) and their families. The group primarily assists in applications for welfare benefits and advises on options for all claims applicable to their needs and rights.
The core work is helping people with ARD’s on Merseyside. The group is involved in many campaigns including calling for a global ban on asbestos.
