From now until 11 April you could learn from local Polish artists and apply your newly acquired skills to Easter egg decorating, thanks to Merseyside Polonia’s New Beginnings project.
The egg has always been seen as a symbol of new life and rebirth. As we emerge from our year of lockdowns, the New Beginning’s project provides opportunity for creative reflection on these symbols of springtime, as well as on exactly what we want to create as we emerge into the ever changing ‘new normal’.
Five Liverpool-based Polish artists will be sharing techniques and inspiration every day until 11 April 2021, via the Merseyside Polonia Facebook page and website. There is something for everyone, from beginners to artists looking to develop more advanced techniques.
Those who participate by decorating their own eggs are encouraged to submit photos via email to info@merseysidepolonia.com, so that they can be displayed in the Facebook gallery.
