Contract: Fixed Term Funded to 31 January 2024 (With the Potential to be Extended to 31 January 2026).
Term: Full-time.
Salary: £23,469 – £26,769 p.a. – MYA Grade 5 Pt. 17-20.
Hours per week: 35 hours.
Reporting to: Line Manager.
Location: Knowsley.

Merseyside Youth Association Ltd (MYA) requires an experienced and dedicated Intensive Mentor to deliver effective personalised pathways of support for young people aged 11- 18yrs (25 with SEND) who present with a range of complex needs and vulnerabilities including mental health and wellbeing, exclusion from school, isolation, poor aspirations, deprivation, and risk-taking behaviours.

The successful candidates will be able to provide thematic leadership in either Health, Education and Families, Equalities and SEND or Youth Justice.

The role will include the identification and recruitment of young people who are experiencing significant challenges such as homelessness, substance misuse, teenage parenthood and youth offending. The post holder will provide 1-1 intensive mentoring and act as the lead professional for young people, working closely with local services including Children’s Social Care, Early Help, Crime and Communities, Education settings and other areas of the Knowsley Youth Offer.

The post holder must hold relevant qualification to at least NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a related subject.
