Term: Full-Time.
Salary: £23,938 p.a. – £27,304 p.a. – MYA Grade 5 – Pt. 17-20.
Hours per week: 35 hours – (May include some evening and weekend work).
Reporting to: Line Manager.
Location: Huyton, Kirkby & Whiston.
Merseyside Youth Association Ltd (MYA) requires an experienced, committed, and innovative Participation Worker who brings creativity, energy and strong youth engagement skills to supporting young people’s development.
Working with young people who are aged 11 – 19yrs (up to 25 with SEND), including those who are underrepresented and hard to reach, the post holder will ensure that Youth Voice is at the forefront of Knowsley’s integrated youth offer and underpins everything that it does.
The post holder will lead the co-design, development and delivery of an innovative participation strategy which includes voice, platform, and action. The role will also include the co-facilitation of the Knowsley Youth Cabinet, development of Youth Ambassador Programmes, and promotion of Social Action Projects. Working closely with existing youth voice platforms and leaders in Knowsley, the Youth Participation Worker will ensure that young people are able to influence decision-making within their communities.
The post holder must hold relevant qualification to at least NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a related subject.
