MiTE Vacancy – Coordinating Chaplain

Hours: 30 per week
Salary: £ 21,087

Mission in the Economy (MitE) is seeking to appoint a Coordinating Chaplain to manage and develop chaplaincy activities in Merseyside Police as well as chaplaincy provision in Liverpool City Centre. The ideal person will have excellent organisational skills, be passionate about enabling people to be the best that they can be and have a desire to make a difference to the people that they are working with.

The role will be divided between Merseyside Police and the City Centre and the Coordinating Chaplain will work to recruit, train and manage a team of volunteers in each location.

MitE is an ecumenical provider of workplace chaplaincy across the Merseyside region. Our chaplains come alongside people, providing a friendly listening ear to people of all faiths and none. As an independent presence in the workplace, MitE’s chaplains are ideally placed to provide a confidential and safe space to enable those they meet to flourish in their work life, wellbeing and spirituality.

This post is open to both lay and ordained people.

The Coordinating Chaplain will usually be located at Merseyside Police HQ Liverpool and Liverpool City Centre but may be required to attend elsewhere within the region.
