Moulana joins the 151 Dale Street community

Moulana Food BankMoulana Iranian Community is the latest organisation to have moved into the LCVS building at 151 Dale Street, Liverpool.

The charity moved into its new home back in August, becoming the 23 resident organisation. We would like to take this opportunity to formerly welcome Moulana CIC to the building.

Moulana offers a wide range of services to all asylum seekers, with a special focus on Iranians. The charity assists with immigration, housing and Covid-19 support, as well as running a food bank.

While, unfortunately, those are on hold for now because of coronavirus restrictions, the team has continued to offer online music classes for service users. They are currently in the planning stages of the Moulana online gym.

Vahid Madanpisheh from Moulana said, “We moved into 151 Dale Street because of its central location and conferencing facilities, which we’ll begin using when restrictions allow. But the biggest draw was the ability to base the organisation in a building where all of our neighbours, like us, are involved in fundraising, charity work and voluntary programs.

“With so many people working from home we haven’t had the opportunity to meet everyone yet but we look forward to working with the other LCVS resident organisations in the future.”
