MRANG Vacancy: Family Support Worker

Salary: £19,000 – £23,000 (depending on experience)

Hours: 35 hours, full-time

Contract: 12 months with potential to extend depending on funding

MRANG is a women only charity working with women and child asylum seekers and refugees and women who have been trafficked.  We offer a full range of support services.  The Family Support Programme provides women asylum seekers, refugees and women who have been trafficked one to one support on a variety of issues. This is an exciting, challenging and varied post with the flexibility to develop the role further.

 Some key role elements include:

• Be responsible for MRANG’s family support work
• Offer advocacy and one to one support
• Increase professional networks, improve access to services and raise the profile of the issues faced by women asylum seekers

This post is restricted to women only due to the nature of the role (Schedule 9 (part 1) of the Equality Act 2010).
