New Contract: Support Service for Single People at Risk of Homelessness

This is a new contract from Liverpool City Council’s Commercial Procurement Unit

The aim of the service is to deliver support to people with a range of support needs who require temporary accommodation due to their homelessness. The focus of the support is to address the underlying reasons for homelessness, prepare them for a move into independent accommodation and to reduce the risk of repeat homelessness presentations.

The support service will deliver 24-hour support, to 48 service users including emergency access services using a mixed-tiered model of provision:

  • Tier 1 – Short Stay generic beds for homeless or other vulnerable people with a broad range of support needs
  • Tier 2 – High risk high needs beds, for people with higher support needs who require an additional levels of support

The intention will be for the successful provider to enter into a management agreement with the current landlord of Mildmay House.

The contracts will be from 16 April 2018 – 19 June 2020 with option to extend for a further 12 months.
