NHS Liverpool CCG have created a Health and Wellbeing Fund for Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise Organisations in Liverpool.
The fund aims to provide support for individuals in Liverpool communities who experience health inequalities and to improve how the NHS and VCSE collaborate to support health and wellbeing. The fund is part of the city’s health strategy, One Liverpool.
Cheryl Lowes GP lead for social inclusion said: “We know how vital voluntary and community organisations are in supporting health and wellbeing in our communities. We are delighted to announce this fund and to make this opportunity to work more closely together to support people in our city who are facing difficult times”.
Projects will be 18 months in duration and must take place between September 2022 and March 2024. Applications can be for between £3,000 and £30,000. Successful applications will be paid in 4 instalments (25% on receipt of signed offer letter, 25% on receipt of a satisfactory interim progress report, 25% on receipt of a second satisfactory interim progress report and 25% on receipt of final evaluation report).
£470,000 is available and applications are sought for supporting people in the highest areas of deprivation and one or more of the following groups:-
- Ethnic minority / traveller communities
- People who have a disability
- Pregnant women and / or children aged 0-5 and their families
- People referred by GP practices in Liverpool
