North West England Hong Kong BN(O) Welcome Hub VCFSE Grant Programme – Now Open for Applications

Applications for the North West England Hong Kong BN(O) Welcome Hub VCFSE Grant Programme is now open for organisations to submit their bids for funding.

Organisations will be able to bid for one of two grants. Grant 1; of up to £5,000, or Grant 2; of up to £10,000. The application form and guidance can be downloaded in the link below.

From January 2021, Hong Kong British Nationals (Overseas) status holders and their dependants can apply for a new immigration route, enabling them and their dependents to come to the UK. Applicants and their family members will be able to live, work and study in the UK but will not have access to public funds. 12 Welcome Hubs have been funded to ensure that newly arriving BN(O) status holders are able to access information to help their integration into the UK.

Voluntary, Community, Faith and Social Enterprise (VCFSE) organisations play an important role in delivering local support services to newly arrived migrant communities. As part of their programme of support in the North West the Regional Strategic Migration Partnership will be funding a number of organisations to welcome Hong Kong BN(O) visa holders and help and assist them as they seek to make North West England their new home. Through this grant programme VCFSE organisations can apply for funds to deliver programmes, projects, events, workshops or other services to support the welcome, integration and wellbeing of BN(O) visa holders.
