Now Open | Round 6 | UKSPF Digital Connectivity for Community Facilities Grants

Deadline: 5 PM on Wednesday 9 July 2025.

VOLA has launched the sixth funding round of the Liverpool City Region UKSPF Digital Connectivity for Community Facilities Grants programme.

The application form and supporting documents will be uploaded to VOLA’s website by 5 PM on launchday.

Grants of between £2,500 and £10,000 are available, which will be awarded to successful applicants in early August.

For Round 6, £150,000 is being made available across the Liverpool City Region, with indicative borough funding allocations as follows:

  • Halton £11,805
  • Knowsley £15,210
  • Liverpool £49,755
  • Sefton £25,185
  • St Helens £18,285
  • Wirral £29,760

Significantly less funding is available this year than in the previous two years – £226,500 in total. Depending on the volume and quality of applications in Round 6, initial plans are to hold back £76,500 for Round 7, which will essentially be used as a ‘mop-up’ round. Therefore, interested organisations are strongly urged to apply in Round 6.

For full information and to apply, please click here to visit the VOLA website.

To assist prospective applicants, VOLA is hosting some Online Briefing Sessions, which you are encouraged to attend.

General Briefing Session

This session will summarise key information relating to the grants programme (purpose, eligibility criteria, what it can/ can’t fund, etc), help people to decide on whether or not to apply, and provide guidance on submitting a good application.

3 Options (you only need to attend one):

Technical Tips Briefing Session

This session provides essential information and advice on important issues to consider and dos & don’ts in relation to planning your IT facility. If you aren’t an IT expert, this workshop is a MUST! Feedback from previous successful grant applicants that attended this session has been overwhelmingly positive in terms of how useful and important it was in helping them to carefully plan their project.

Slides and recordings of the briefing sessions will be made available on VOLA’s website, but it is strongly recommended that you attend.

Any enquiries should be directed to VOLA at ukspfgrants@volamerseyside.org.uk.
