Our House Community is a charity who believes in connecting people, creating spaces where people can find belonging. They are dedicated to relieving poverty and social isolation and as a member of their team, you would have the opportunity to contribute to meaningful change while building connections within the community.
Their main hub is a community centre at heart of Walton where people can connect, socialise, and participate in activities, that brings a sense of belonging and community for many people who are otherwise living lives of isolation.
They also have outreach projects that reach out to some of the most vulnerable members of the wider Liverpool Community through their Streetwise and Pearls Project who offer night time harm reduction outreach van and daytime support to women involved in sex working and addiction through one to one support, well-being activities and women’s groups.
Job Summary
At Our House Community, their volunteers are what allow them to do the valuable work they do across all their projects and in this new role, by being the first point of contact, their volunteer co-ordinator would help Our House Community take their team care to another level from recruitment through to support and development of their individual volunteers and teams.
The volunteer co-ordinator would be an important part of their small staff team, where they have a relational, flexible and collaborative way of working. By working together as a team they will be able to continue to improve the lives of all of those involved in all Our House Community projects and the wider community.
