Ovacome is seeking local partners for Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month

Ovacome, the UK’s national ovarian cancer support charity, is encouraging community organisations based in the North West to help raise awareness of the disease during Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month, March 2021.

Ovacome have small pots of funding to share with community organisations, to enable them to run a campaign:

  • raising awareness of the signs and symptoms of ovarian cancer
  • raising awareness of Ovacome’s support services among communities that face barriers to accessing reliable information and support

Awareness resources are available in 6 community languages: Arabic, Bengali, Gujarati, Polish, Punjabi and Urdu. There are also phone lines available in these languages, so support and information can be offered via an interpreter. The focus of the month’s campaigning should be distributing these resources.

Ovacome is keen to work in partnership with organisations, and able to tailor the campaign to best reach communities with this important messaging.

More information about this work can be found on the Ovacome website.

If your organisation is interested in partnering with Ovacome during March 2021, please contact I.Stone@ovacome.org.uk.
