PaSH in Liverpool – BHA for Equality – Community Engagement and Development Worker

Contract: Permanent subject to funding.
Term: Part-Time.
Salary: £22,571 – £27,514.
Hours per week: 35 hours.
Reporting to: Programme Lead.
Location: Liverpool/hybrid.

The PaSH Partnership is a collaboration between BHA for Equality, George House Trust, and LGBT Foundation.

The PaSH Partnership is looking forward to rolling out a comprehensive programme of interventions to meet the changing needs of people newly diagnosed with HIV, living longer term with HIV or at the greatest risk of acquiring HIV.

The programme will include HIV testing, access to free condoms and lube, a dedicated sexual health website, HIV outreach, and support for adults and children newly diagnosed with HIV or living with HIV longer term.

Job Description

  • Develop and deliver community engagement initiatives and sexual health promotion
  • Raise awareness of sexual and reproductive health issues (via digital and community-based engagement)
  • Ensure people from all communities can access HIV testing and other prevention tools so that no one is left behind
  • Provide culturally appropriate information and advice suitable and accessible for a wide range of communities with complex needs aimed at improving knowledge, confidence and influencing behaviour.
