Location: Flexibility is key; you’ll spend time across the North; hybrid working is essential; you must be able to meet with the team on a weekly basis in Manchester or Liverpool as well as with CIC Directors as appropriate

About People’s Powerhouse
People’s Powerhouse is dedicated to connecting communities across the North of England to generate people’s power. Their mission is to empower local communities, ensure equitable resource allocation, and foster inclusive growth. They are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Data Coordinator to join their dynamic team and support their mission.
The Role:
Join their growing team as the lead person on all thing’s social media, communications, website presence, twitter, Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn. They need someone with a good portfolio of work ideally linked to growing social movements, to work with us to take all their platforms to the next level, make them all as effective as they can be, so they can work with more people and organisations, engage more people in their events and to join in with their wider work.
Tasks include but are not limited to:
- Curate, schedule and co-ordinate engaging content that attracts new organisations to want to work with them, and appeals to local people who need their help but haven’t yet found them, whilst keeping platforms consistent in their look and feel.
- Monitor and evaluate social media activity.
- Research, draft and produce relevant and engaging copy in a style and tone that conveys The People’s Powerhouse brand, while being customer-focused and engaging.
- Make good use of their website and links to their social media to bring people into their wider work, to help them generate new projects and income streams.
- Support the team to development a new and interactive website.
- Keep abreast of Northern current affairs and keep the team sighted on news/events relevant to their work.
- Promote their activities with regional and national journalists.
Experience/Skills Required:
- Skilled and innovative at using all forms of social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin, Canva, Instagram, etc
- Experienced in writing engaging copy for the web and social media, from news and announcements to first person storytelling content.
- Good at listening to and working with a small team
- Interested in their work
- Able to convey messages in a way that a wide range of people can understand.
- Proficient IT skills including Microsoft Office Word, Outlook, Excel.
- Trustworthy, able to work in a confidential way, respecting information shared is private
- Able to demonstrate experience in the field of campaigning and disruptive movements?
- Able to build and maintain positive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
