Grade: £8.50 per hour, £2 per hour enhancement for Detached work and Leader role
Hours: A range of hours available, mostly evenings and weekend work
Are you an experienced Youth Development Worker, or currently training within the Youth and Community setting? Positive Futures needs passionate, driven and dedicated people to join the team as Sessional Detached Youth Development Workers.
The organisation’s expanding service has a range of exciting opportunities for the right person. Positive Futures has been working in Liverpool for over ten years and during that time has become a leading provider of quality youth work.
Due to the high demand for the service, there is a need to grow a bank of Sessional Detached Youth Development Workers to assist in the delivery of our range of services. This will include detached youth work and group work with young people aged 8-24.
Main duties include:
- Working with children and young people in a detached environment, and planning and delivering activities and events in their area
- Working creatively with young people, encouraging them to express their views and take control of their projects
- Administration of paperwork following activities, to include sessions plans, registers, monitoring and evaluation sheets
The role will be mostly evenings and weekend work with the potential of additional hours in the summer holidays and half terms.
