Positive Futures – Youth Development Worker

Positive Futures is a youth development charity supporting young people in North Liverpool.

Their team are committed to supporting every young person to achieve their potential. They do this through their open access, targeted support work and personal development interventions which collectively support the young people and their families of Liverpool every year.

Job Description

To develop and deliver centre & street-based activities for groups/individuals, school programmes and services that will be delivered in a specified area of the community to meet the personal and social development needs of young people in Liverpool.

It is essential that you work regular evenings and weekends.

Some duties will include

  • To plan, organise, and deliver effectively, a range of personal development programmes that improve outcomes for young people. This will include Crime and ASB, Informal Education, Mental Health, and Personal Development.
  • To work at ‘grass roots’ level, on the streets, in parks and centres, on a significant number of evenings and weekends providing open & accessible activities to local children & young people.
  • To maintain accurate records for monitoring and reporting purposes including verbal and written information on progress, issues, futures plans and to maintain accurate supporting financial records.
