Positive Futures – Youth Development Worker

Job Description

Purpose of Role:

To develop and deliver centre & street-based activities for groups/individuals, school programmes and services that will be delivered in a specified area of the community to meet the personal and social development needs of young people in Liverpool.

Some duties will include:

  • To plan, organise, and deliver effectively, a range of personal development programmes that improve outcomes for young people. This will include Crime and ASB, Informal Education, Mental Health, and Personal Development.
  • To work at ‘grass roots’ level, on the streets, in parks and centres, on a significant number of evenings and weekends providing open & accessible activities to local children & young people.
  • Develop relationships and work in partnership with Schools, Social Care Services, Targeted Support Services and Early Help etc.
  • To maintain accurate records for monitoring and reporting purposes including verbal and written information on progress, issues, futures plans and to maintain accurate supporting financial records.
