PPE survey for people who employ personal care assistants

Social care advocacy organisation Advance PSS CIC want to know whether people who employ personal care assistants in their own homes have access to the right personal protective equipment (PPE) at this time.

PPE is extremely important for the NHS, care homes, and home care agencies right now, in the fight against Covid-19, but employers of personal assistants and people who receive informal care in their own homes also need PPE. On 10th April 2020 The UK Government produced its plan and guidelines about the Covid-19: Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). An identified ‘setting’ where people receive health and care is an individual’s own home.

If you employ a home-based personal assistant, or make informal arrangements to receive care in your home, please complete the survey. It is being supported by Liverpool City Council and Liverpool Clinical Commissioning Group and data collected could help identify and plug gaps in the supply chain.

Find out more and take the survey on the Advance PSS website.
