Posts available: 1.
Contract: Permanent.
Term: Full-time.
Salary: £24,101.
Hours per week: 37 hours.

Reporting to: Head of Quality.
Location: Eleanor Rathbone House, 24 Derby Road, Liverpool, L5 9PR.

At PSS, they’ve got an important job to do and that’s to help people make the most of their lives – whatever life throws at them. Whether you’re working directly with the people who use their services, or behind the scenes in one of their offices, every day you’ll be helping to make other people feel happier, healthier and more supported.

They’re a social enterprise or as they like to call it – a ‘business with a heart’. This means that all the money they make goes back into finding new ways to support people. They’ve got offices across Merseyside, Wales, Manchester, Lincolnshire, the Midlands, Norfolk and Suffolk where they’re making their stamp. Their quality team is based in their head office, Eleanor Rathbone House in Liverpool.

As their safeguarding and quality officer, you’ll join a small but mighty team known within PSS for its efficiency, its on-the-nose accuracy and its cracking sense of humour. All the things you need to make sure they’re aiming to be the best in the west (and the east, north and south, just to be clear).

What that involves:

  • Supporting and empowering their teams to be the best they can be when it comes to effective information sharing, good quality reporting and risk management
  • Maintaining and developing great reporting systems and processes, analysing how they’re doing and reporting back to their senior teams
  • Being an all-round awesome people person who’s able to build effective relationships with PSS people – from the people they support, to their quality checkers (who have lived experience and support them to develop their services), to their partners, teams and trustees
  • Keeping a close eye on exactly how they’re doing all year round even when their regulators like CQC in England and CIW in Wales are at home with their feet up and their fluffy slippers on.

First and foremost, they need someone who lives up to their PSS values of being big-hearted, genuine, determined, professional and open-minded. You’ll need a level 4 diploma in business administration or equivalent, a positive and productive attitude and a commitment to their important confidentiality processes and procedures.
