Would you like to support a vital charity while also developing your strategic leadership and governance skills? Relate Cheshire & Merseyside (incorporating Relate Greater Manchester) is seeking to appoint new trustees to its board, one of which will be the new chair.
Relationships with family, partners, friends and colleagues play a big part in how happy we are, and when our relationships aren’t healthy, we suffer. That’s why Relate is here to provide relationship support – for everyone. We develop and support healthy relationships particularly by helping couples, families and individuals to make their relationships work better.
The impact of the pandemic means that our support is more needed than ever, and we have worked hard to adapt to the changing circumstances. We are currently working entirely remotely and delivering counselling online to couples, families and young people across Cheshire, Merseyside & Greater Manchester. Part of the national federation of Relate, we are a local charity with a turnover of around £450,000 and around 30 employees. The board meets 4 times a year, with optional monthly informal catch-up meetings in between, all of which are held online in the late afternoon / early evening.
We are seeking committed and capable people to help lead the charity into its next phase of development. It is hoped that new board members might bring some or all of the following areas of expertise: digital; fundraising; finance; safeguarding; social sector. However, all applications will be considered. We are also seeking to strive for a wider diversity in our Board membership.
To apply, please send your CV and an expression of interest to Sarah.Hall@relatecm.org.uk.
