Royal Voluntary Service Vacancy: Service Co-Ordinator (2 posts)

Salary: £8.70 per hour
Salary: 21 hours, some evenings and weekends
Contract: 12 months, with potential for extension

Royal Voluntary Service supports older people to live independent and fulfilled lives. The charity is launching a new service in Liverpool and seeks two Service Coordinators with a genuine interest in the happiness and well-being of older people.

In collaboration with the Home First programme, the service supports older people as they are discharged from hospital to their own homes. This is an exciting and highly relevant new piece of work working with Liverpool City Council and two major Hospital Trusts. The Service Co-Ordinators, alongside the Service Manager, will be responsible for setting up the new service, and develop its potential to deliver a multi-faceted, needs-led service for older people across Liverpool.

The team will recruit, train, manage and lead volunteers to deliver the support element of the service. The project will deliver bespoke support at home and in the community to those being discharged from Aintree and Royal Liverpool Hospitals.

If you are interested in applying for this new project, you will need to be able to demonstrate a proven track record in service delivery or volunteer engagement; ability to deliver projects to time, and ability to communicate and write coherently. You role will require to be computer literate, using Microsoft Office.
