Saha – Waking Night Concierge

Term: Full-time.
Salary: £19,058.70 per annum plus benefits.
Hours per week: 37.5 hours.
Days per week: Flexible.
Reporting to: Housing Management Manager.
Location: Mildmay House, 6 Blackburne Place, Liverpool, L8 7PQ.

Mildmay House works to enable the growth of people’s strengths and talents supporting them to develop their skills and resources to transform their lives overcoming barriers such as alcohol and drug dependencies and enable independent living.

They are a Registered Social Landlord and across the UK, they are one of the leading providers of supported housing, providing a wide range of supported accommodation options for vulnerable people including, young homeless people, care leavers, adult homeless, people with complex needs, young parents (and their children), survivors of domestic abuse, ex-offenders and those suffering from drug and alcohol problems and poor mental health.

Their teams work with people to build on their strengths, creating person-centred, individualised strategies and plans that transform lives, support recovery and enable positive behaviour.

The Night Concierge will provide an overnight presence in Mildmay House, Liverpool making sure their residents are well and their building is secure.

At Saha, they are dedicated to providing comprehensive, good quality housing services, support and resettlement for people who have been homeless.

The Night Concierge will need to help ensure the safety of residents and the security of the building by being an overnight on-site presence and will:

  • Supervise people as they enter and exit the building
  • Monitor CCTV and conduct building checks
  • Engage with vulnerable people who live in the service for up to six months
  • Encourage residents to follow house rules and to avoid inappropriate behaviour
  • Maintain a security log.

You will instinctively work in a manner that aligns fully with saha’s delivery values and behaviours, demonstrating energy and passion, along with a positive, can do attitude in your daily contribution as a night concierge to transforming lives.

You will be confident and be able to communicate effectively with a diverse range of people including clients, staff, agencies and local neighbours. They need you to have:

  • Empathy with our client group
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills
  • The capacity to diffuse sometimes difficult situations in a calm manner
  • Good time management
  • A willingness to work night shift on a rota basis.
