I am impressed by Sahir House’s innovative approach, evolving and expanding its services to meet new needs, such as refugees and asylum seekers facing additional challenges on account of their sexuality and their gender. The pandemic has exposed deep seated divides and health inequalities in our society and it is really important that Sahir House continues to amplify the voices and needs of the diverse communities we serve, and secures resources so that we can continue to develop our services, and reach out, enhancing individual and community wellbeing in the process”.

She brings with her energy and enthusiasm together with a wealth of skills and experience. In spite of the difficult times we find ourselves in the Board is confident that with Helen we have a safe pair of hands to lead Sahir House in the direction we know we need to go.”
