Santa’s on his way to Belle Vale

Two Belle Vale charities, Active Community Enterprise (ACE) and St Cyril’s Children & Youth Project (SCCYP) , have teamed up to bring festive activities and Father Christmas to their community this December.

For many people in Belle Vale and the surrounding areas, the ACE Santa sleigh-ride signals the start of the festive season. It brings a lot of joy to the children’s faces, when they come out of the house and see the man himself in their street.

This year’s festivities will be a little different due to the Covid-19 restrictions but rest-assured that Santa will still be making his rounds. ACE, a charity that supports adults with learning difficulties, has teamed up with SCCYP, an initiative that provides year-round activities for children aged 6+ in the local area.  Between them, the organisations plan to offer a unique after school and holiday play scheme, with free activities for all children aged 6+. SCCYP has also been delivering essential food parcels to the most vulnerable, isolating and struggling families in the community.

Santa’s sleigh ride

On Friday 18 December 2020 AC and SCCYP will travel around the Belle Vale and Naylorsfield areas, stopping off to hand out selection boxes to the children and offer socially-distanced photo opportunities with Santa and his elves!

The route:

  • Santa’s sleigh will leave the SCCYP building at 6pm
  • travel left upon to Southbrook road
  • then onto Handle road
  • followed by Bloom Hill Close
  • onto Naylorsfield Road
  • returning onto Southbrook road and back at SCCYP building

Please give a warm welcome to Santa and his elves
and be safe by ensuring that you distance yourselves,
Smile and wave, enjoy our Christmas celebration
and enjoy a festive moment free from isolation!
