Deadline: Sunday 10 November 2024.
After the deadline a group of colleagues from the Northern Crowd will review and allocate the grants.
Northern are once again giving colleagues the opportunity to help charities, community groups and projects that they are involved with and are close to their heart, by applying for small grants of up to £500.
You can apply for a small grant on behalf of an organisation that matters to you or provide them with the link below to submit their own application (it is fine for the charity/org to apply themselves).
This is an opportunity to support your local communities, by funding causes where it could really make a difference, which aren’t necessarily on the railway. This is a great chance to support the causes that matter most to colleagues at Northern.
Applications should be from, or on behalf of organisations that exist for the good of the community; to support social, environmental, or cultural objectives that benefit communities, particular groups within the community or society as a whole. This includes (but may not be limited to):
- Registered charities
- Non-profit community enterprises
- Sports clubs (excluding professional clubs)
- Unregistered groups run by volunteers that provide a service to their local community or a specific group in need
- Schools, colleges, or early years education settings.
They’re looking for organisations and community groups that don’t benefit from some of their other funding streams (on this occasion they won’t be accepting projects linked to the Community Rail Partnerships or Station Adoption Groups they work with). Please note that they can’t accept applications that would generate a commercial return or are of a political/religious nature.
To apply, please click here.
If you have any queries or require assistance with your application, please contact Casey Harris, Social Value Officer at casey.harris@northernrailway.co.uk.
