Sporting Capital: Funder meeting opportunity – For Sports and Physical Activity Groups

Liverpool Charity and Voluntary Services (LCVS) are the biggest support organisation for charities and communities organisations here in Liverpool. As part of its work LVCVS is in regular discussion with funders who might be interested in supporting local sports and physical activity projects.

LCVS is currently in discussion with a funder called Sporting Capital.  Sporting Capital is a social investor interested in supporting sports based community projects that want to grow/develop here in the city.  Sporting Capital can offer loan funding of between £50,000-£150,000.

LCVS has arranged a visit from Sporting Capital from 10am-4pm, Wednesday 14 November and there are a number of 1hr appointments for local projects to sit and chat with the funder.  This might be just to discuss your project ideas or to see if this type of opportunity is for you.

We also gauging expressions of interest to see whether a larger forum style meeting would be suitable on the same day.  If demand was such that a forum meeting would be more appropriate, this would like occur between 10am-12pm, with one to one appointments after that.

Sporting Capital can also provide access to grant funding of up to £15,000 to support the development of projects, through the Reach Fund. This grant funding can help groups develop their ideas and there is no obligation to go forward with seeking the social investment opportunity.
