Salary: £17,290 pro rata – £8,645 total annual salary at £8.75 per hour (National Living Wage)
Hours: 19 hours per week
Contract: One-year fixed-term from April 2018, with possible extension
Squash, a food-focused social enterprise, is opening a new community business, including a food shop and vegetarian café on Windsor Street, Liverpool 8. This new community-lead food space has been planned and designed by local residents and is due to open in Spring 2018. Squash is looking for two part-time Food Workers with a good knowledge of food and cooking and a passion for healthy, seasonal eating.
The Food Worker at Squash will assist with the running of the food shop, cafe and catering service. They will work with the chef to prepare vegetarian meals, takeaway foods and for catering at events. The Food Worker will also assist in the shop.
You will have experience of working in a food retail/catering environment; customer care service to customers; greeting, assisting, answering queries; operating the till/cashing up; pricing and stocking shelves with merchandise; keeping cleaning, temperature and other relevant Food Hygiene records up to date.
