St. Bartholomew’s Court Nursing Home Vacancies: Trustees

St Helens and Knowsley Caring Association (a registered charity) has been caring for people in St Bartholomew’s Nursing Home for older persons since 1988 by working in partnership with local social and healthcare partner agencies.

The board is now looking for new trustees to provide the charity with good governance, monitoring and strategic direction to ensure the charity continues to provide its services to the communities it serves long into the future in an evolving care sector.

The board works with management to ensure that the charity fulfils the objectives defined in its constitution and acts in accordance with the charity’s vision and mission, and in compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.

Having recently conducted a review of the skills and composition of the current board, new trustees are needed with skills and experience in any of the following areas:

  • The care and health sector, including regulation and clinical governance
  • Financial management
  • Fundraising
  • Business development, change management or strategic planning.
  • Leadership and governance
  • Human resources
  • Public procurement
  • Collaborative working with other third sector organisations

Whilst experience is important, it is equally important that new trustees share the passion, commitment and aspirations to deliver high quality care to those in need.

The trustee positions are presently unremunerated but reasonable out of pocket expenses will be reimbursed.

If you are interested in a trustee role, contact Yvonne Houghton, Company Secretary on 0151 480 5505 or email yvonne.stbarts@btconnect.com.

Estimated closing date for applications: Friday 2 December  2016
