Study | Why people would/wouldn’t attend a Lung Health Check

MSc Health Psychology student Louise Martin from Liverpool John Moores University, is researching why people would/wouldn’t attend a Lung Health Check.

Within Liverpool, around 40% of people respond to their invitation to a Lung Health Check. Louise would like to understand your reasons for attending or not and things that could be changed to help more people attend a lung screening and detect any issues early.

You do not have to have attended a Lung Health Check to participate in this study, they just want to hear your thoughts.

So why should you volunteer to take part?

By allowing researchers to hear your views, understandings and experiences of the Lung Health Check programme, it could lead to possible changes in the service in Liverpool. It could help more people in your community attend lung screenings.

If you are interested, would like any further information or have questions, please do not hesitate to email Louise at L.D.Martin@2022.ljmu.ac.uk.

If you would be happy to participate, they can arrange a Teams video call that would be no longer than an hour to discuss this further.

Closing Date: 12 July 2024.

If you can please get in contact no later than the date above, this will allow for the data to be analysed and collated into a report before the deadline.
