Contract Name: Supporting Families against Youth Crime – Family Mentoring Service

The Authority is seeking tender submissions for a government funding initiative to Support Families against Youth Crime. This is a pilot service covering period July 2019 to July 2020.

Support will provide targeted interventions for families with young people at risk (aged 5-9) and will include;

  • Voluntary and community sector co-ordination,
  • Family mentoring
  • Family awareness
  • Early help family outreach
  • Workforce development programme
  • Parenting programme

A voluntary sector coordinator will provide the initial day to day contact and support for the commissioned service as part of an existing programme to build community capacity within Early Help.

This tender exercise will cover a new Family Mentoring Service to provide early help and support to families with vulnerable young people identified for being at risk of exclusion from primary school and through association with offending groups.
