The Black-E Arts & Community Centre is an ACE funded NPO – with over fifty years history in the community. Their venue is in the heart of Liverpool, L1, it is a national asset – providing a 500-person capacity main space with a sprung floor and aerial theatre, a 150-seater chamber theatre, gallery, café, studio, binaural sounds studio and a suite of office providing a culture hub with state-of-the-art digital tele-conference facilities.
Job Overview
They are now looking for a Chair who is committed to community inspired and artist led work, a passion for transformation, who brings good judgement and the ability to think creatively. You will need a strong track record in working to promote the voice & culture of people of African, Caribbean and Asian heritage, with a commitment to disability access and inclusion.
This is an exciting opportunity for a bold thinker to join their small, but extremely hard working and dedicated team at a key point in their history when their two surviving founding trustees (Bill & Wendy Harpe) have transitioned from Trustees to Patrons.
