Salary: £13,000 PA (£26,000 pro rata)

Contract: Fixed term until September 2023

Base: The Brain Charity, Norton Street, Liverpool, L3 8LR

Hours: Part time – 18.75 per week

The Brain Charity offers emotional support, practical help and social activities to anyone with a neurological condition and to their family, friends and carers. There are hundreds of different neurological conditions including stroke, brain tumour, brain injury, Alzheimer’s disease and many rarer conditions. We are there for every single one of them. The Brain Charity has recently been successful in winning funding for several new areas of work including two new major employment projects. Our Directions & New Horizons projects, funded by the European Social Fund, are designed to support adults with multiple and complex barriers to work to enter the labour market. We recognise that the pandemic has hit our service users hard, and that many of those we are here to support now face unemployment, financial difficulties and mental health issues. Because of these reasons, we are expanding our front-line team.

Role Summary

We are seeking a hands-on and positive person to support individuals with neurological conditions in their search for work.

Our service users might be looking for work for the first time, returning to the job market after several months of illness or launching a whole new career after a life-changing event or diagnosis.

You will work creatively to find the right solutions for the individuals you work with, and provide expert practical support to get them to where they want to be.

We are an award-winning charity and have recently received The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service, the highest accolade given by the Crown to Third Sector organisations.
