Employer Bio
Life for any of us can change in an instant. Experiencing a road traffic accident, a major stroke or being diagnosed with dementia can happen completely unexpectedly and can change our lives forever. The Brain Charity offers emotional support, practical help and social activities to anyone with a neurological condition and to their family, friends and carers.
Job Summary
The Brain Charity’s Fundraising Officer (Individual Giving and Community Fundraising) is responsible for generating and maximising income from their supporters in the community – including challenge fundraisers, individual donors and ‘in memory of’ supporters.
Most people who financially support The Brain Charity, whether by donating, taking on a fundraising challenge or attending one of our events, have a strong personal connection to their cause – many may have been bereaved, or faced their own experience of how neurological conditions can impact lives.
You will be responsible for nurturing our relationship with their fundraisers and donors by taking them through a seamless, personalised and integrated journey so they feel valued by the organisation and are more likely to support them again in future.
