The Brain Charity – Information & Advice Officer

Term: Full-time.
Salary: £26,000 PA.
Hours per week: 37.5 hours.
Days per week: Flexible between 9:00 – 5:00 Monday to Friday.
Reporting to: Information & Advice Supervisor.
Location: Norton Street, Liverpool L3 8LR.

Life for any of us can change in an instant. Experiencing a road traffic accident, a major stroke or being diagnosed with dementia can happen completely unexpectedly and can change our lives forever. There are hundreds of different neurological conditions including stroke, brain tumour, brain injury, Alzheimer’s disease and many rarer ones too. The Brain Charity offers emotional support, practical help and social activities to anyone with a neurological condition and to their family, friends and carers.

The Brain Charity is now seeking an individual with a strong background in finance to deliver key elements of their corporate strategy and help take their organisation to the next level. Receiving practical help in important areas such as welfare benefits, legal advice and social care is a key part of The Brain Charity’s work and they are extremely proud to be able to offer this to individuals when they need it most.

As one of their Information and Advice Officers, you will work at the very heart of their services delivering this essential support to individuals whose lives are often in crisis. They are seeking an emotionally intelligent and resourceful individual with a strong background in a related area such as social care, welfare, health or housing, etc. to join this vital team.

Their Information and advice officers offer high-quality practical help, information and emotional support to individuals via face-to-face, e-mail and telephone support services.

The role involves working with individuals with a wide range of conditions and also offers support to their families, friends and carers. The key areas of support include money, housing, employment, relationships and support navigating health, welfare, and social care services.
