The Brink Vacancy: Front of House Supervisor

Salary: £17,000
Hours: 40 hours per week
Contract: Initial fixed-term of 6 months

The Brink, Parr Street Liverpool, is a café bar and entertainment venue, set up to support those in recovery from drug and alcohol addiction. It provides a welcoming, creative space with a fun and lively atmosphere serving fresh, nutritious food and a range of non-alcoholic drinks sourced from around the world.

The Front of House Supervisor will support the Assistant Manager in the day-to-day running of the Brink. You will supervise the front of house food and drink service ensuring a quality and customer focused service. You will also be expected to attend and supervise outside events promoting the Brink and serving fresh healthy drinks, promoting recovery and wellbeing.

You will be responsible for taking the lead in the up-selling of food and drink, keeping the drinks menu up to date and eye catching and will promote customer feedback. You will be responsible for the induction of new staff and volunteers, promoting excellent customer service and providing training to educate new starters on the service level required and maintaining the standards of existing staff.

You will provide information about our services to customers who may be looking for treatment or support and introduce them to support staff and volunteers who will help them further.

You will have experience working in a hospitality environment and be dedicated to driving excellent customer service, preferably already be in a supervisory role. Ideally, you will be a bit of a ‘foodie,’ keeping up to date with the latest food trends and have a good knowledge on healthy options and dietary needs and enjoy thinking about ways to improve the Brink’s customer experience. Experience of preparing a variety of coffees, teas and mixing drinks is a must as is a positive, can-do attitude. You should be computer literate and have a good level of Maths and English.

It’s not essential for you to have in-depth knowledge about the recovery community or addiction, but you should be in tune with the ethos and rationale of the Brink and be enthusiastic about.
